When one such child, Zelie, gets a chance to restore magic to Orisha for good she embarks on a journey that will change the course of her life and her people’s forever.

Children of Blood and Bone is one of those rare books that deserves the hype it’s generated - it really is THAT good. This is a story rich with mythic detail and bursting at the seams, with characters who are complex and wonderful. More than anything, this book is an achievement in spectacular worldbuilding - I felt completely drawn into the world of Orisha, with its different clans and forms of magic, in ways that I could never have imagined. Great things are going to come from this trilogy, so don't miss this phenomenal book!
