What if your whole world was a lie?

The thrillingly dark conclusion to the No. 1 New York Times bestselling DIVERGENT trilogy, now available in paperback.

DIVERGENT - a major motion picture series.
What if a single revelation - like a single choice - changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered - fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she's known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris's new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature - and of herself - while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.

Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

Veronica Roth

Veronica Roth graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in creative writing. While she was a student, she often chose to work on the story that would become Divergent instead of doing her homework.

It was indeed a transforming choice. Now a full-time writer, Ms Roth lives near Chicago. The third and final book in The Divergent Trilogy, ALLEGIANT, will come out on October 22, 2013.

In the meantime she will spend endless hours browsing Wikipedia in her pajamas as she eats corn flakes.

Allegiant, the finale to Veronica Roths Divergent trilogy, is causing quite a stir in the world of young adult literature. This is the reason I couldnt wait to get my hands on the third book. After all, the first two books were great hits! Its normal to assume that the last book will be just as phenomenal; and thats what Allegiant isat least in my opinion.

It seems that several readers have a lot of negative things to say about Allegiants ending. They say they were disappointed, felt empty, and some were even questioning why Roth would do such a thing. For me though, I believe the story could not have ended in a better way. I feel that Tris, our heroine, has finally realised and shown her followers what sacrifice really means.

I am not saying that we all should go ahead and sacrifice our happiness in favour of those around us. There has to be a balance. We need to see all sides of the story before making that decision. If we, in all honesty, feel that what we are doing is for the greater good then thats the time we take the plunge. And thats what Veronica Roth made Tris do.

Sometimes, its not just about what the readers will like. I think authors also have to consider the whole plot and let the story flowregardless of the direction it is headed. Some readers may hate how Allegiant ended the Divergent series, but you know what they say: You cant please everybody.

I, on the other hand, am very pleased with this series. Id re-read it again after a couple of months. Thats how much I loved every minute of this trilogy.

Allegiant is the third addition to the Divergent trilogy authored by Veronica Roth. Young adult readers who are into romance and dystopia will enjoy reading this novel.

The Divergent series is the first dystopian book I have ever read. Honestly, I thought I wasnt going to like it, but friends kept talking about Veronica Roths series. I ended up buying the first book, Divergent, out of curiosity. I also bought a copy so that I could join their conversations. Fortunately, I loved the book so much that I just had to get Insurgent and Allegiant.

What got me hooked on Allegiant is that it is a gutsy novel. The protagonist knows when shes right and is not afraid to own up to her actions. Sure, it has led to certain ugly situations for her, but I think thats the part I liked most about the book. I feel that Tris, the protagonist, will be a good inspiration for its readers. She has chosen to explore an unfamiliar and, apparently, more dangerous world. However, she did not cry and scurry back to her family. Instead, she does everything in her power to set things right, despite the dangers lurking.

Another great theme I noticed in the book is that it showed how it is to be a human. It gives scenarios to show us why we do certain things we do. It makes us question our life choices. Did we do the right thing? Is it worth fighting for? Do we just cower in the corner and let the stronger man dictate our actions?

In the end, each of our actions has its own consequences. It is the same with Allegiant. All the actions undertaken by the characters have led to one big revelation; it is something Tris couldnt just sit back and watch from the side. She had to take matters in her own hands. It has also led to a controversial endingan ending that I am happy about. I wouldnt want Veronica Roth to end it any other way.

Intrigued, yet? I suggest for you to grab a copy like I did. I dont regret buying it and hopefully, you dont either.

After reading Divergent, and Insurgent by Veronica Roth, I was keenly awaiting the release of the last, Allegiant with both anticipation and anxiety. Its always hard when a great series comes to an end especially one with the potential to destroy everything, and everyone youve come to know and love over the roller coaster course of the narrative.

After finishing the novel, Ill admit that I was torn between hugging it and throwing it and pretending it never existed. The emotions Allegiant evoked in me, one of millions of readers was powerful and dividing. I couldnt decide whether I thought the ending was as daring, brave and human as Tris had come to be, or whether I thought it was a disservice to the readers who had invested themselves so wholly in the series.

I later came to realize that whilst dystopian fiction may (sometimes forcibly) remove us from the world were comfortable in, and familiar with and drop us into one shaped by the dark-halves of ourselves, the truly stand-out stories, such as Allegiant give us something to hold onto, long after the final sentence has been read. Hope.

Veronica Roths Allegiant is the thought-provoking conclusion to the Divergent trilogy. I would highly recommend it.
