Sue Shepherd is a highly regarded dietitian who suffers from coeliac disease. She has devoted much of her career to finding a way for people with dietary restrictions to enjoy life without feeling they are missing out. Sue Shepherd

Dr Sue Shepherd is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian with seventeen years' experience.

Sue has coeliac disease, and in 2008, completed her PhD research into aspects of coeliac disease, Low-FODMAP Diet, fructose malabsorption and irritable bowel syndrome. Sue developed the "Low-FODMAP Diet" for Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

She has graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Promotion and post graduate Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Her expertise is recognised internationally and she has won numerous awards including the Dietitians Association of Australia Annual Award for Achievement for outstanding contribution to the profession, and Douglas Piper Young Investigator Award from the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.

This book has completely changed my eating habits! My GP prompted me to try a low FODMAPs diet for my condition. I based my decision to buy this book on Sue Shepherd's great reputation. This edition features stylish photography, layout and design in a soft-covered book, that can lay open on the kitchen bench!

There is a comprehensive introduction explaining the diet, and foods to avoid or limit. As for the recipes, I have made at least 8 now, all successful. I have tweaked things here and there according to my tastes and tolerances, but my husband doesn't even know he's eating low FODMAPS dinners!

If I have one niggle with this book, it's only that I prefer to see every single recipe photographed. But otherwise, a clear and appetising range of delicious recipes. 5/5
